This striking copperplate engraving entitled "The Shipwreck" was engraved in the 18th century by Johann Balzer (1738–1799) after a painting by the renowned Bohemian Rococo painter Norbert Grund (1717–1767) . It depicts a dramatic coastal scene with a capsized ship, washed-up barrels, and two figures on the shore—a classic motif of Baroque landscape painting with narrative depth.
