Original vintage kilim cushion from Turkey.

Exotic and traditional - Kilims (Turkish Kilim) have a centuries-old history and originate from the Balkan countries, the Near and Middle East. Due to their beauty and durability, they are still extremely popular today, even though they are unfortunately often manufactured by machine these days.

Our kilim cushions are made from Turkish kilim carpets that are 40 to 80 years old. The kilim fabrics are hand-woven and made from 100% new wool. The use of plant dyes in the production process results in the beautiful, slightly pale colors. Each of our kilim cushions or carpet cushions is unique and as such cannot be reproduced. The back of the cushions has a concealed zipper and is made from a cotton fabric that matches the color of the kilim. The kilim fabric is a section of a large carpet and can therefore sometimes have an asymmetrical pattern, which we find particularly individual and appreciate. The kilim cushions from Turkey look best when combined with other kilim carpet cushions in matching patterns and colours.

Please note: The cushion cover is delivered without filling. We recommend a standard filling of 60 x 30 cm.
