Tax included. Shipping calculated at checkout
Bamboo-effect mirrors, especially French models, have a history that makes them endlessly fascinating. These pieces originated in the mid-19th century, when Europe was captivated by exotic influences. The turned elements imitate bamboo stalks and give the mirror a light, exotically inspired feel – a popular design element at the turn of the century that brought faraway lands into everyday living spaces.
At the end of the 19th and beginning of the 20th century, French mirrors made of imitation bamboo were very popular in country houses – they were practical yet stylish, inspired by colonial travel and wanderlust.
Mounting : There is a wall mounting option - however, it is designed to be leaned against the wall on a chest of drawers or shelf.
Style: Art deco
Dimensions: 69 cm x 50 cm
